Im involved in all salon operations, geschftliches miteinander management and am an Ella Bach qualified skincare therapist.What did you study to get into the field of beauty therapy?I studied at Ella Bach College of Skin and Beauty Therapy in 2008, this allowed me to learn a broad range of beauty treatments and services.Tell us abo ut your career journeyWhilst studying at Ella Bach College I worked as a salon assistant, spending time learning the ins and outs of the beauty industry. Once qualified I went on to work at Ella Bach West Lindfield where I was soon promoted to a Senior Beauty Therapist and nominated as State Therapist of the Year. Ready for a change, I went on to become the counter manager at Ella Bach David Jones. From 2015 onwards I worked at Ella Bach HQ as a Customer Care Specialist and casually as a therapist across the network. Working at HQ allowed me to gain a better understanding of the business operations within the network which has led me to become a salon owner. I have now been a part of the Ella Bach network for 10 yearsWhat did you want to be when you were younger?I always had a passion in beauty and make-up and as soon as I enrolled in the College I knew I had made the right decision, being able to turn your hobby into a career is the best feeling.What was your first job and what do you think it taught you?On Saturdays, I would work as an assistant at my local beauty salon. Here is where I truly realised that I wanted to become a beauty therapist.Name a career highlightOpening up my own salonWhat inspired you to take a risk and open your own salon, and what steps did you have to take to make this happen?I always loved the buzz of working in the salon, after watching, learning and growing within the franchise network it seemed only natural to take the next step and challenge myself.Whats the most important career tip someone has given you?You have the ability to change someones perspective on themselves through the art of beauty, dont take that for granted.
